So it is the night before my last chemo and I basically feel like it is Christmas Eve. I am so excited to finish chemo and move onto the next step. Tomorrow will be full of great friends, family and wonderful nurses I love to see every day. I have made it so far I just can’t believe this day is almost here! I get to ring that big bell that so many other courageous men and women have rung before me. God is good!
Oh, and in case you don’t follow me on facebook or twitter. Giulian Rancic made my day when she tweeted me this morning. She is the host of E! News and just this year went through a double mastectomy and is now on tamoxifen, a five year oral chemo I will also have to be on. She is a role model to me and so many other young women diagnosed with breast cancer. She was on the Today Show to show off her new baby and as an advocate for Do It For The Girls. Tomorrow is Do It For The Girls Day where women are encouraged to give themselves a self breast exam because early direction is what saves lives. Don’t be afraid to go to the doctor and make sure you are ok. It saved my life. Let it save yours.
Tomorrow is the day. Stay tuned….
