Happy new year has a particularly new meaning to me this year. 2013 brings about a fresh start. Cancer free and living life to the fullest! I’m excited to put last year behind me and to see what 2013 has to offer. Although 2012 was the hardest year of my life, it might have been the best. I surprised myself with how strong I can really be when challenged. I created a non profit and have been introduced to so many amazing cancer survivors who will be in my life forever. 2012 changed me for the better. Here’s a look back at how much can change in a year…
MAY: Shit hit the fan… CANCER.
(And 10 days sailing in the BVI’s)

JUNE: chemo starts. So I should probably dye my hair blonde

JULY: bye bye hair. Happy bday to me.

AUGUST: More chemo. Fighting Fancy is in full swing!

SEPTEMBER: vacation to aspen. And FINAL CHEMO!

OCTOBER: race for the cure
NOVEMBER: Double mastectomy = CANCER FREE!

DECEMBER: recovery
Thanks to all my friends and family who stood by my side all year! Cheers to new friendships and all my fellow cancer survivors! I wouldn’t be here without all you! So blessed to be alive and able to enjoy the rest of my life! Cheers to 2013!
