JANUARY 15, 2013

I have had an overwhelming response from my last post. I was afraid I was going to offend some people who have been by my side from day one. Ironically, not one of those people even read the blog. I am blessed to be surrounded by a network of other young cancer survivors who can relate to what I am feeling. The night I posted that blog I was flooded with text, calls, emails and facebook messages. All other survivors who said they feel the EXACT same way. I am lucky to have those lovely ladies to lean on! And for those friends and family who sent their love and support — THANK YOU! It really made my day.

Yesterday I had another fill in my temporary expanders. My chest feels like I have two bricks attached to my chest. Hard as concrete. It makes it hard to sleep at night. Especially on my stomach. That is laughable how painful that is. I did get a surgery date yesterday. On April 29th I will get my replacement surgery to remove the expanders and replace them with soft, normal implants. I CAN’T WAIT.

Now, to end on a positive note… Look how much fun Asher is having with her make up she received in her fighting fancy bag. She is a fighter!
