Hey Chemo buddies… or maybe I need to say Mastectomy buddies… I have a daily problem and I don’t know what its from. My right arm keeps falling asleep like while I am using it. It is asleep right now actually. Makes it really uncomfortable to type. I don’t know if it is from my lymph-nodes removed or my temporary expanders pressing on a nerve to make my arm go to sleep. I feel like my arm is about to fall off. Someone please tell me they have this same problem.

Haven’t had that problem but if it is a new symptom, just call your doctor and see what they think.
Hmm, I haven’t had this happen, but sometimes my hand(s) will go numb. It’s crazy how weird our bodies are anymore. Yeah, I’d just call the doc and ask.
My arms fall asleep all the time, on both sides. I think it’s the expanders, they are hard as a rock, and they must pinch blood flow.. I was told to watch for swelling on the lymph node side.. But it doesn’t hurt to ask your doctor. Hope it eases off.. Pins and needles suck.
I don’t have the expanders, but I my lymph node arm does fall asleep, especially if I sleep on it. I have been working with PT that specializes in breast cancer patients and it has HELPED tremendously. No lymphademia or anything just weird sensations.
This happened to me after surgery. I just did the recommended physical therapy exercises, and it went away over time.
