JUNE 8, 2012

Surgery day!!! I had surgery to instal a port under the skin on my upper left chest. See picture below…. it is a weird contraption used to deliver my medications directly into my bloodstream via a catheter that is inserted into a vein directly above my heart. This makes a central access point for my chemo and any other medicine that I need administered over the next 18 months. I am a little sore and uncomfortable but I am doing ok! I have had sweet baby sitters the past 12 hours taking care of me. Thank you mom, brooke and bogie!
