JUNE 21, 2012

Wanted to give everyone an update on how Heather is doing. The past two days she has been feeling great. She says she is feeling like her self again. We went this morning to get some lab work done, nothing major now that she has Ellen (yes, she named her port Ellen). It lasted about 15 min and we were on our way. She goes back next Tuesday for some more lab work and then Thursday for her second round of chemo treatment. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a good upcoming weekend where she can get out and see people, but will have to play it all by ear.

On a sad note, we found out yesterday that Heather’s grandma Hazel passed away. This was the grandma that lived in Fayetteville and we would go over to her house in college almost every week. Heather is doing ok today coping with it. It is going to be very difficult next week when she is not able to attend the funeral because of her chemo treatment. She was 96 years young and still calling those hogs!
